Twain & Stowe's Holiday Time Machine

Travel back in time for a historic holiday in Hartford with Harriet Beecher Stowe and Mark Twain! Bring the entire family for a child’s-eye view of Nook Farm during the Victorian Era.

Harriet Beecher Stowe’s home will be decorated for Thanksgiving with all of the trimmings, offering The Child’s Tour, holiday craft activities and horse-drawn carriage rides through Stowe and Twain’s historic Nook Farm neighborhood.

The Mark Twain House will be decked with Christmas decorations and The Mark Twain Center will be transformed into “Santa & Sam’s Toyland” with classic games and toys from Time Machine, New England’s largest hobby shop.

Add a petting zoo, tempting treats, and an early-bird chance to give St. Nicholas your holiday list, and you have a truly transporting family event!

Admission to Stowe Visitor Center/Twain Museum Center Holiday Activities – Only $5! All holiday activities free when you purchase a tour to either historic home!

The Stowe Center Child's Tour will be offered on Saturday at 10AM, Noon & 2PM and on Sunday at Noon, 2PM & 4PM.

The Welcome to Our Home Tour: A Living History Experience will be offered on Saturday at 4PM.
