During the years that Harriet Beecher Stowe lived in Hartford she used her voice and influence to protect and improve the quality of life for animals.  Today, what is society doing to take care of animals?  What can you do?

Salons at Stowe topics reflect the contemporary shape of issues that concerned Harriet Beecher Stowe.  During Salons, an "Inspiration to Action" agenda is created listing specific actions that can be taken to address the issue at hand. 

Audience participation is a must.  Come prepared for lively discussion.

Arrive at the Stowe Center's Katharine Day House at 5 PM for indroductions and refreshments.  The Salon begins promptly at 5:30 and concludes by 7 PM.
