Collections Preservation Project Update

The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center Collections Preservation Project is in full swing!  A lot has happened in the last month since the physical construction began.

  • The roof was excavated and membrane repairs completed
  • Exterior masonry and flashing repairs have been completed
  • Interior surfaces were washed and paint priming completed; final ceiling and wall coats to begin this week
  • Day House basement room to hold fire supression mist tanks have been cleared and concrete pads will be poured this week
