Workshop

Courageous Conversations

October 2nd, 2018

NOTE: This event will be postponed to a later date.

By popular demand, the Stowe Center presents an encore presentation of this workshop for  staff or volunteers from libraries, community centers,
museums, and historical societies as well as the general public.

At the hands-on, interactive training, participants will improve group facilitation skills and learn how to lead effective and productive conversations
that lead to action.

The Stowe Center’s history-based approach provides a forum to:

  • Discuss legacies of intolerance and oppression
  • Recognize that words create, shape and maintain cultural ideas and practices, and
  • Understand why studying the past is critical for engaging with issues of the present.
