SOUNDSCAPE: A Special Stowe Prize Art Project

June 28, 2021 to November 30, 2021

SAVE THE DATE

A playlist curated by DJ Q Boogie will premiere onsite later this month. The playlist combines music from the Stowe Collections, the music of James Baldwin’s music collection, and music from the personal playlist of 2021 Stowe Prize winner Dr. Eddie Glaude to tell a story about the ongoing fight against racial injustice.

Soundscape, activated by motion sensors, plays an aural experience around Harriet’s house and in the garden. Sensors are in the front and back of the house but visitors are encouraged to wander until they find the music. Soundscape is open to the public beginning June 28 and will remain in the gardens through November. Guests can visit at their leisure, dawn to dusk.
