Kids Will Change the World Book Club

"The House on Mango Street"

June 23, 2018

Calling all kids! Join a summertime book discussion at Stowe.

The House on Mango Street  by Sandra Cisneros is the remarkable story of Esperanza Cordero. Told in a series of vignettes – sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes deeply joyous – it tells the tale of a young Latina girl growing up in Chicago, inventing for herself who and what she will become.

The House on Mango Street is best for ages 12+, but all children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Staff-led discussion;
the author will not appear at the event.

Join additional Kids Will Change the World Book Club discussions:
