FREE EVENT: Emerging Activists

Arts and Crafts Children's Hour

June 15, 2024

Join us for a delightful Children’s Hour from 1:15 to 2:15 PM. During this time, enjoy arts and crafts activities, followed by a story reading session from 1:45 to 2:15 PM, led by Kamora Herrington. We’ll be reading ‘Julián is a Mermaid’ by Jessica Love and ‘Hair Love’ by Matthew A. Cherry. Families are invited to participate in these creative activities and be inspired by the stories.

The event is free to attend, and registration is not required.

Additionally, consider staying for our ‘Inheriting Freedom: An Intergenerational Tour’ from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. This youth-centered tour explores the life of Black abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Learn about the real man, his beloved family, and his lifetime of racial justice activism during the Stowe Center’s monthly Inheriting Freedom Tour.

This is a paid program – up to $20 per person.
